Pizza delivery drivers have been targeted in a spate of robberies over the past two months, with police now stepping up their hunt for two offenders who allegedly stole cash, pizza, and soft drink from a driver in Kambah last week.
Police said a driver had been called to deliver pizzas to a Kambah address about 10.20pm Thursday.
But when he had got to the home, a man and a woman, both carrying weapons and wearing balaclavas over their faces, had approached him from behind.
One of the alleged offenders was carrying a baseball bat, and robbed the driver of money, pizza and soft drink, police say.
Police say last week's incident is not related to two similar incidents in recent months.
Just a week before the latest attack, three teenagers allegedly used knives to rob a pizza delivery driver of cash, a pizza, and a bottle of soft drink in Reid.
The driver had been flagged down by by a girl and two boys, believed to be aged 15 or 16, while driving along Allambee Street about 12.15am.
One of the boys had pressed a knife to the victim's back, and the girl held a knife to his neck, according to police.
The second boy then allegedly stole a pizza and a bottle of soft drink before running south along Allambee Street.
Police say the other boy took cash from the driver.
In late January, a pizza driver was robbed at knife point while making a delivery in Hawker.
The 26-year-old driver had been robbed of cash and food after going to a non-existent address for a delivery.
He had gotten out of his car to try and find the house, when two masked men walked up to him and pointed a knife at his neck and another at his waist, police said.
Police have issued a face fit of the man allegedly involved in the latest attack.
They describe him as in his late 20s, approximately 183cm tall, with brown eyes, bushy eyebrows and a skinny build.
Police believe he was wearing a white or grey hooded jumper with vertical stripes, black tracksuit pants, white skater shoes, a black baseball cap, and a white bandana over his face at the time. He was of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance.
The woman is described as caucasian, in her late 20s, 163cm tall, with a stocky build, black hair in a ponytail, and wearing a navy blue hooded jumper, blue tracksuit pants, and a black bandana over her face.
