Pizza driver robbed at knifepoint

February 8, 2012

Three teenagers used knives to rob a pizza delivery driver of cash, a pizza, and a bottle of soft drink in Reid early this morning.

The victim was hailed down by a teenage girl and two teenage boys, believed to be aged 15 or 16, while driving along Allambee Street about 12.15am.

The Dominoes delivery driver got out of his car, and was approached by two of the teenagers who were both carrying knives, according to police.

One of the boys pressed a knife to the victim's back, and the young girl held a knife to his neck, police say.

The second boy then stole a pizza and a bottle of soft drink, according to police, before running south along Allambee Street.

Police say the other teenage boy then took cash from the driver, before fleeing in the same direction.

Police say the girl was of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance, aged in her mid-teens, and roughly 152cm tall, with brown coloured eyes and brown hair. She was reported to be wearing a white hooded jumper.
