A driver who accelerated towards police injured one officer after fish tailing away from them at a service station in Dickson in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The police officer drew his gun when he feared the driver of the purple Ford tray back ute was accelerating towards him at the Shell service station.
Police were attempting to speak to the man after noticing his vehicle was displaying false registration plates, about 1am on Sunday.
Police said that as officers walked towards the ute, the driver began to reverse rapidly from the bowsers to evade them.
A police officer was in the direct path of the ute when the driver began accelerating, ACT Policing said, prompting the officer to draw his gun.
Once it became apparent the driver was trying to evade police rather than attempting to drive directly at them the officer put his gun back in the holster.
The back of the ute "glanced" a police officer and caused soft tissue damage as it fish tailed to the left when the driver accelerated rapidly, police said.
Police allege the driver drove recklessly and dangerously and exited the service station on the wrong side of the road, but the officers did not chase the ute.
The driver is now wanted for a number of traffic offences.
