Police are investigating two suspicious grass fires lit in Canberra on Friday.

Firefighters extinguished both fires as of 6.10pm, one near Majura Park at the end of the Canberra Airport runway and a second fire next the Monaro Highway near Gilmore.
ACT Fire & Rescue and ACT Rural Fire Service had three units at the scene of the Monaro Highway blaze as of 5.45pm.
The fire reached 20 by 30 metres in size and was kept under control.
The small fire started not long after firefighters extinguished the Majura Park fire.
Crews were leaving the scene as of 5.38pm after mopping up the fire.
The fire was about 100 by 300 square metres in size and burnt in an easterly direction. Firefighters said they had it controlled as of 4pm.
The ACT Rural Fire Service, ACT Fire & Rescue and Aviation Fire & Rescue sent 10 units to extinguish the blaze.
The warning level for both fires was set at advice.
No property was under threat.
