Homicide detectives are yet to make any arrests more than two months after his body was discovered, with officers releasing new replica images of a suspect on Wednesday afternoon.

Police have refused to reveal how Mr Carville died saying only his cause of death was a key element of the investigation.

Detective Senior Constable Jarryd Dunbar called for anyone who may have seen a man walking along Norton Road in Wamboin, or Sutton Road, to contact police.

"We suspect this person may have an involvement in the disappearance and murder of Mr Carville," he said. "As to his particular identity, it is not something I can confirm."

"We have had two people step forward and provide information after they saw a male person on Norton Road in Wamboin during the early hours on November 15."

Police have described the man as being between 180 and 186cm tall with a solid build, an olive complexion, short black hair, dark eyebrows and dark coloured eyes. He was also wearing a black polo T-shirt, black coloured pants and dark coloured shoes.

The murder investigation has focused on a male suspect whose 1986 cream coloured Toyota LandCruiser was found dumped at Molonglo Gorge.

Detectives have also focused on a group of people who last saw Mr Carville alive, including a former female housemate who moved out of his house on the night of November 4. The woman has also been identified as a suspect.

"A number of the people that we are looking, whether they be suspects or persons of interest, were assisting an associate of Andrew Carville moving out of his property at Evatt around the time of his disappearance, Detective Dunbar said.

"They certainly haven't been ruled out of the investigation."

Detectives have already ruled out family members as persons of interest in the killing

"The family are obviously hoping for a resolution of this investigation as any family does and we are keeping them updated," Detective Dunbar said. "They are certainly supportive of our investigation."
