The ACT Magistrates Court heard on Saturday that Shahn Elizabeth Campbell had two warrants out for her arrest, related to alleged failures to appear at court in March this year and before the Sentence Administration Board.
Campbell's defence lawyer Jan De Bruin told the court his client was due to have a child on January 26, and had a medical appointment planned for later in the day.
Magistrate Peter Morrison said the defendant faced "a smorgasboard of current charges", but relevantly posed a high risk of failing to appear at a future hearing, and could receive assistance at the Alexander Maconochie Centre.
"Ms Campbell has a somewhat extraordinary history for failing to appear," Mr Morrison said.
Campbell has pleaded guilty to driving charges, and has yet to enter pleas for charges including aggravated burglary, assault and failing to appear.
Mr Morrison refused bail, with Campbell placed in custody ahead of a Sentence Administration Board hearing and court event on Tuesday.
