Prices for fine merino wool, retail demand are on the rise

The Dowlings walked their sheep for about 30 kilometres into the village of Dalton north of Gunning to be shorn before Eric Dowling's grandfather Loral, emboldened by demand for wool, built a shearing shed in 1923.
