An ambulance was called to CISAC on Eastern Valley Way in Bruce about 11.20am on Saturday. Police were called to Calvary Hospital an hour later, after the girl had died.
Police said the girl did not die at the pool, but it remained unclear on Sunday if she died at or on the way to the hospital.
Managing director of The Club Group, a CISAC tenant, Harry Konstantinou told Fairfax Media on Sunday he understood the young girl suffered from a pre-existing medical condition.
"It could have happened at the Westfield shops, it could have happened anywhere,'' Mr Konstantinou said.
''She wasn't in the pool, there were no lifesavers jumping in the pool."
The ambulance service and the pool management would not provide any information about the incident.
While police have not revealed details of the circumstances surrounding the death, they have said they did not believe it was suspicious.
