An alleged nuisance caller who police say made multiple false reports of a fire from a public phone was arrested in Canberra city on Saturday.

Police were called to Akuna Street in Civic following reports the man had made repeated calls to ACT Fire and Rescue from the Canberra City YHA phone about 2pm.
They found the Queanbeyan man, 36, standing near two firefighters outside the Canberra Centre as he spoke on his mobile phone.
Police said he resisted as he was arrested and it took five officers to get him into the back of a police van.
The man was charged with using a carriage service to menace and resisting arrest.
He is expected to face the ACT Magistrates Court on Monday.
Police will allege the man made multiple calls to ACT police emergency and ACT Fire and Rescue emergency lines.
They believe people among a crowd of witnesses who gathered at the scene of the arrest may have filmed the incident on their mobile phones.
They have called for anyone with footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
