USING SPACE
Three new exhibitions at M16 Artspace use space in unexpected ways. In Fold, by Dorte Conroy, the material, in this case medium-density fibreboard, dictates form, space and colour. Something Familiar, by S.A. Adair and Tracey Sarsfield, uses sculpture, installation and drawing, where each artist explores connections in various ways using the body as a common point of reference.
In Echoes, Andy Thomas explores themes of transformation by fusing nature and technology. Organically sculpted wood is illuminated with electricity and voices of nature are transformed into 3D interpretations. 21 Blaxland Crescent, Griffith, open from noon to 5pm Wednesday to Sunday until November 10.
