Police have arrested two men within an hour of attending the scene of an alleged aggravated burglary in Canberra's north yesterday afternoon.

A 45-year-old woman called police to her Watson home at about 1.40pm yesterday after she had disturbed two men allegedly searching through rooms of her house.

Upon seeing the woman, the men ran from the house, allegedly taking some property with them, and left the area in a white sedan.

At about 2.30pm, police located and pulled over a white Ford Falcon in Barton. Police allege they found stolen property from the Watson home inside the vehicle, and arrested two men and a woman.

A 40-year-old man and 29-year-old man were charged with aggravated burglary and theft. They will face the ACT Magistrates Court today. The woman was released without charge.
