Michael John Johnstone, 21, was one of two men charged with the crime, which was captured on the shopping centre's CCTV cameras.
The stolen car is shown crashing through entry doors, driving through the Gungahlin Village, and then stopping outside the Diamond Ring Designs jewellery store.
The Subaru then reversed through the shop's roller security door, allowing two masked men to gain entry.
The men then smash through glass cabinets before taking roughly $20,000 worth of jewellery and stashing it in the car.
The pair are then shown to get back in the Subaru and flee the scene.
Johnstone was arrested and charged earlier this year. Blood left at the scene closely matched his DNA, despite him telling police he had never been to the centre.
He initially pleaded not guilty and was committed to stand trial in the ACT Supreme Court.
But Johnstone appeared on Monday morning, pleading guilty to burglary, theft, two property damage charges, and riding in a stolen motor vehicle.
Acting Justice Linda Ashford ordered pre-sentence and alcohol and drug reports before sentencing in early February.
