The DJ, singer and dancer provided colour and commentary to the 2013 Australian Open thanks to his relationship with women's champion Victoria Azarenka.
Azarenka is more of a shrieking violet than a shrinking one and so too is her 37-year-old boyfriend.
The pair hammed it up for the cameras and their respective social media audiences all tournament, however a Redfoo stunt during a post-match interview has bewildered the tennis community.
Following Ararenka's 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 win against China's Li Na the newly crowned two-time Australian Open women's champion was being interviewed by Seven's Hamish McLachlan when Redfoo, clad in zebra print pants and a neon t-shirt emblazoned with "Get Your Grunt On" stumbled on to the set and hijacked the conversation.
McLachlan, who had earlier asked the tennis pro if she would be spending her $2.43 million prize money on "shoes and bags", went on to quiz Redfoo about how the pair would be celebrating.
"We party," Azarenka said.
"Yeah we bring out the bottles," he said, plugging his new single.
He then commended the world number one's musical skills and hinted she may become his pianist in the off-season.
"Pianist isn't a dirty word you know," he said as the Belarusian beauty giggled with embarrassment.
Shortly after Redfoo posted a photo of Azarenka completing her Rod Laver Arena lap of honour with the caption "A champ in my eyes. Congrats baby!!!"
Former tennis pro Todd Larkham said he was surprised Channel Seven, the official broadcaster of the tournament, allowed the interview to be interrupted but could understand why Azarenka thanked her "Party Rock Crew" during the trophy presentation ceremony.
"It's a certainly a strange event, I've never seen it happen before. I wonder if Victoria's probably a little embarrassed by that," the ACT Tennis Academy coach said.
Tennis ACT chief executive Ross Triffitt said their partnership, which involves a lot of cross promotion, is a match made in marketing heaven.
"She enjoys a different kind of relationship with Redfoo than more of the traditional relationships that tennis players would have with their partners.
''He has a high profile in the player's box and he's a celebrity in his own right and very active in promoting his music and working together to promote each other," he said.
"A lot of the tennis players really focus on the tennis, that's why I think this relationship is so unique. Victoria is really showing her life outside of tennis courtside more than a lot of other people."
Mr Triffitt said the festive vibe of the Australian Open lent itself to entertaining and sometimes bizarre off-court antics.
"The Australian Open really focuses on the player's experiences and putting the players first. It might be a little different to some of the traditions of Wimbledon and the Wimbledon Club. I'm not sure Redfoo's attire would be appropriate for the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club."
This isn't the first time the Sexy and I Know It star has attended and participated in her press obligations.
During a press conference before her first US Open quarter-final against Samantha Stosur in 2012 Redfoo, whose real name is Stefan Kendal Gordy, sat beside the 23-year-old No. 1 seed and took questions from the media.
