The announcement comes on the back of recent Triple J Hottest 100 success with the band's indie electronic pop featuring throughout the annual countdown.
SAFIA's collaboration with Canberra success story Peking Duk, Take Me Over, finished fifth and popular song Paranoia, Ghosts and Other Sounds came in at 96.
Celebrations will also include a tribute concert to commemorate the Anzac Centenary with members of the Australian Defence Force's combined bands joining Canberra Symphony Orchestra in a performance of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, followed by canon fire from Australia's Federation Guard.
