Two schools were set on alert in Chisholm on Tuesday, November 8, as police and special response forces captured a Kambah man wanted for allegedly ramming a police car and motorcycle on the weekend.

ACT police say the man was arrested but not before he tried to flee the scene again, hitting a police officer, ramming four more vehicles and crashing into an electricity substation, causing a power outage.
Police say the situation began on Sunday, November 6, when officers went to a house in Livingston Avenue in Kambah. The 34-year-old man fled from the house, allegedly ramming a police motorcycle and car as he went.
He was not pursued.
On Tuesday morning police were called to a home in Chisholm on a report of a suspicious vehicle, and identified the man in the car.
"Due to concerns for public and police officer safety significant police resources, including Specialist Response Group members, were deployed to Chisholm," the police release said.
Staff at Caroline Chisholm School and Gilmore Primary School were advised of the police operation and took "precautionary measures" to protect students and teachers.
The man then allegedly attempted to flee from police again, ramming an officer and the vehicles. Police say the officer was treated at the scene by paramedics and sent to Canberra Hospital. ActewAGL restored electricity to the area.
The man will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court and faces eight charges relating to Sunday including failing to stop for a motor vehicle for police and aggravated furious/reckless/dangerous driving.
Police say he could face further charges related to Tuesday's incident.
