Shots fired in Braddon

February 14, 2012

UPDATE: Victim believes bikies involved

Police are looking for two men after a shot was fired into a Braddon home in the earlier hours of this morning.

Police said they spoke to two men in a unit this morning, after responding to a report that a shot was fired at the Allawah Flats complex.

"A shot was fired through the front door. Police do not believe that anyone was injured," they said in a statement.

"Two men attempted to get inside the apartment and when the door was shut on them, one of the offenders discharged the firearm. The offenders fled on foot."

Police said one man was described as between 173cm to 183 cm tall (5'8" to 6') and about 60kg. He was wearing a cap and balaclava.

The second person was between 168cm to 173cm tall (5'6" to 5' 8"). He was wearing a white baseball cap and black bandana across his face.

Police ask anyone who may be able to help their investigation to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or at www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
