The ACT Emergency Services Agency said in a statement the burns took place at O’Connor and Black Mountain near the Gungahlin Drive Extension.
“It is normal for stumps and heavy logs to continue to smoke and some flames may be visible in the interior of the burn after personnel have left the scene,” it read.
“The ACT Territory and Municipal Services Parks Brigade is continuing to monitor the burn today.”
There are no fires burning in the ACT.
Any person who sees a fire outside of control lines without a crew or truck in attendance can call triple zero.
