ACT Fire and Rescue were called to Sheppard Street business after a fire broke out in its conveyer belt around 1.30pm.
Commander Richard Maloney said eight people were evacuated due to the fire, which two workers tried to extinguish before leaving the building.
“The two staff members have been treated for smoke inhalation,” he said.
The pair are in a stable condition and an investigation into the cause of the blaze will continue.
