Police are investigating a suspicious car fire after a vehicle was completely destroyed at a Melba school on Friday.

Fire fighters were called to the Copeland campus of the Melba Copeland Secondary School shortly after 6am, following reports from a taxi driver that a car was ablaze in the school's car park.
An ESA spokesman said crews extinguished the fire, which completely destroyed the Holden Commodore.
The incident has been handed over to ACT Policing, who are treating the fire as suspicious.
