The Canberra Grammar School teacher arrested for child grooming this week previously worked at a secondary girls school in the ACT.

The teacher had been on staff at Canberra Girls Grammar School before he began work at the boys school at the start of this year, Fairfax Media understands.
In a letter to parents this week the principal of the girls school, Anne Coutts, said the teacher did not currently work at the school.
"The school is aware of a press release issued by NSW Police Force [last Wednesday] indicating that a teacher and assistant sports coach from a private secondary school in Canberra has been charged with alleged impropriety in relation to internet use," Ms Coutts' letter to parents said.
"This teacher is not a current teacher at Canberra Girls Grammar School."
The CGGS letter said the school was prevented from saying more because of legal reasons and a spokeswoman repeated this reason for not commenting when contacted in recent days.
"Our prime focus is for the welfare and safety of our students," the letter said.
"The school counsellor is available to work with any students or families who have concerns.
"I would ask parents to immediately contact the school if there are concerns about this matter.
"We also remind parents and students to be vigilant around internet use or activity and to discuss internet usage."
A NSW Police spokesman said his organisation could not provide the man's name until his first appearance in court on June 29.
"As the man has now been charged, we cannot provide any further detail," the police spokesman said.
On Wednesday Canberra Grammar School confirmed a senior school teacher at the boys school had been charged with child grooming on Tuesday night.
In a letter to the school community, head of school Justin Garrick said the staff member was charged in Sydney with alleged offences related to using the internet to groom a person aged under 16.
"NSW Police have provided explicit assurances that the charges do not relate to boys of the school, nor to the teacher's employment at the school which commenced at the start of 2015," he said.
The Deakin man was arrested after NSW detectives assumed the identity of a 13-year-old girl and spoke with him on numerous occasions.
Police allege the man made a number of sexually explicit comments and spoke about meeting.
He was granted conditional bail and will appear at the Parramatta Local Court on June 29.
