A 14-year-old girl was taken to hospital after being hit by a car while crossing a road in Phillip on Thursday afternoon.

Police said the teenager had been crossing the west bound lanes of Hindmarsh Drive, near the intersection of Melrose Drive, when she hit by the car about 1.15pm.
She was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Although the driver, believed to be a woman, did stop, she left the scene without providing details to the teenager or police.
The driver was a woman and she may have been driving a white Toyota Corolla, possibly with white and black NSW plates. The car is believed to be a 2008 or newer model.
ACT Policing are investigating the crash and have urged the driver to come forward.
They are also appealing for any witnesses to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
