Two 14-year-old girls were arrested in Tuggeranong on Monday afternoon after they were each found with a 20cm knife.

Police said they went to the waterfront area near McDonalds in Greenway about 5.10pm after receiving reports of antisocial behavior, and found a group of young people defacing the jetty on Lake Tuggeranong.
Police searched the two teenagers and found both with concealed kitchen knives with 20cm blades.
The pair was arrested and taken to the ACT Watch House.
One was charged with defacing public property and possession of a knife without reasonable excuse. She will face the ACT Children’s Court on Tuesday, May 4.
The second girl was charged with defacing public property and possession of an offensive weapon with intent. She will face court on May 22.
