The federal government announced nearly $900,000 in funding to fix seven black spot projects in the ACT.

Federal ACT Liberal Senator Zed Seselja, infrastructure minister and National MP Darren Chester and ACT Liberal leader Alistair Coe announced the funding boost in Griffith on Thursday morning.
"These are all about making Canberrans safer," Senator Seselja said.
"We can never be complacent when it comes to road safety," Mr Chester said.
"We want to work with local communities to find their local priorities."
Senator Seselja didn't believe the ACT had missed out on significant infrastructure spending in Tuesday's budget.
"[ACT Chief Minister] Andrew Barr, of course, will try and shift the blame to the Commonwealth," Senator Seselja said.
"The ACT government taxes the people of the ACT a lot and we would expect that those massive increases in rates and charges, that they would be investing a lot in our roads."
"I don't believe the ACT's been overlooked," Mr Coe said.
The $891,000 worth of upgrades would be carried out during the 2017 - 2018 financial year.
Black spot projects are expected to reduce fatalities and injuries from crashes by 30 per cent, improving driver, pedestrian and cyclist safety.
The black spot sights designated for upgrades:
- $252,000 for the intersection of Furneaux Street and Manuka Circle, Forrest
- $190,000 for the intersection of Telopea Park and Currie Crescent, Kingston
- $132,000 for the intersection of Athllon Drive and Don Dunstan Drive, Greenway
- $105,000 for two sections of the Monaro Highway between Old Cooma Road and Angle Crossing Road, Tuggeranong
- $105,000 for the intersection of Drakeford Drive and Johnson Drive, Isabella Plains
- $84,000 for the intersection of Ainslie Street and Doonkuna Street, Braddon
- $23,500 for the access road between Ellenborough Street and the Barton Highway, Lyneham
