According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics 2016 Census snapshot, "Lucy" is who we could describe as the typical person in Canberra.
The ABS says both of Lucy's parents are of English ancestry, were born in Australia and everybody speaks English at home.

She was born in Canberra, while both her parents were born in Australia and have an English background.
Although she's tried to reduce it, Ms Warner said the amount of unpaid domestic work Lucy did at home sounded about right.
The typical Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in Canberra is a 23-year-old male.

The typical Australian, Claire, is three years older than Lucy but, like Lucy, was born in Australia, along with both her parents.
Claire has two children, lives in her three-bedroom home with her partner, finished Year 12, has two cars and does up to 14 hours of unpaid domestic work.
