The chase ended when his girlfriend pulled up at the Woden police station and ran into the office, where she gave a statement.

Stanley Shane Connors, 21, has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him, including damaging property, assault, unlicensed driving, driving with an intent to menace and possessing a Taser.

The hearing is set down for September. Magistrate Beth Campbell granted Connors bail on Wednesday, on the condition he go straight into the residential rehab facility and not leave until the hearing.

Documents tendered to the court allege Connors got into his car and chased his ex-girlfriend along Drakeford Drive in Gordon after they fought about him returning her possessions.

Earlier at his house, after they fought, she had got into her car when he allegedly approached the window with a Taser in his hand.

The woman told police she panicked, because Connors had shown her how to use the Taser and she had seen him use it on someone.

It was then she sped away. She saw Connors put his phone to his ear and scream "she's coming". She started driving into random streets and noticed a gold sedan follow her before it turned away.

She had pulled over and called police when she saw a red Mazda - driven by Connors - pull up beside her on the drivers side.

She drove away and turned onto Drakeford Drive and, travelling at 100kmh, saw Connors in the red car driving at speed behind her.

Connors drove up close beside her in the left lane and abruptly veered towards her car, documents tendered to the court allege.

She accelerated, and sped to Woden Police Station, where she got out of the car and ran into the front office "visibly shaken".

At the station, police took a statement in relation to injuries she had sustained during physical confrontations over the past three weeks.

On one occasion, Connors had allegedly grabbed his girlfriend's legs, pulled her onto a mattress and put his weight on her after she told him she wanted to end the relationship.

About three days later, the couple fought after she told Connors she didn't want to go for a walk. It's alleged he threw her laptop on the floor and jumped on it.

On another occasion, Connors allegedly told his girlfriend she couldn't leave him because he would go back to jail and kill himself.

The next night he called her and said he had $100 and a gold chain to give her, and she told Connors she would come by the next day.

Out front of his house, she asked for her things and he refused, which led to him allegedly chasing her along Drakeford Drive.
