David Allen Will, 59, appeared before the ACT Magistrates Court on Friday morning and was charged with aiding and abetting the heist of $151,000 from Chubb security guards.

Will, of Jerrabomberra, told the court registrar he had been unable to secure legal advice due to "a conflict of interest" and the matter was adjourned until January 23.

Police allege Will gained access to detailed information about the Chubb van's movements around Canberra.

The information was allegedly used to plan the robbery, before Munro and the other man were contracted for the job.

The aggravated robbery occured when two security guards collected the weekend takings from the Mawson Club around 3.45pm in May 2004

The guards were carrying satchels of cash back to the van when they were confronted by two men armed with guns.

A shotgun-wielding Mark Munro, 54, was one of two men involved.

Munro blasted a Chubb security guard from close range.

Shotgun pellets were sprayed across the guard's face and chest, a dozen of which were still lodged in his body last year.

Munro was found guilty by a jury and sentenced to 18 years in prison with a 13 year non-parole, before shaving off three years from his sentence on appeal.

The second man was also sentenced to nine years imprisonment in 2011.

Now, ACT Policing have announced they have charged a third man with aiding and abetting the 2004 robbery.
