"Småland is our free supervised play area, located next to our store greeter," said Canberra store manager Mark Mitchinson.

"Småland is licensed under the Department of Education, so all children must be enrolled before coming in to play."

"With IKEA being the non-hierarchical organisation it is, all co-workers from our chefs through to our country manager pitch in to sharpen pencils when time permits," Mr Mitchinson said.
