The reprieve in hot weather and strong winds will see nature reserves and roads reopen to the public.
Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve, Namadgi National Park, Googong Foreshores, Stromlo Forest Park at Weston and Kowen Forest will open from 8am on Sunday.
While roads within Namadgi National Park including Apollo Road, Orroral Road, Old Mill Road, Warks Road and the Corin Dam Road will be accessible by vehicular traffic from 7am.
At Googong Foreshores the Lower Molonglo River Corridor and Mulligans Flat Woodlands Sanctuary will reopen to the public.
But Mount Franklin Road will remain closed at the Mount Franklin Chalet carpark.
