Organisers of a trade show where a man was killed by a runaway horse and carriage say they are ''mortified'' by the death, which they described as a freak accident.

A 65-year-old man was seriously injured when he was trampled by two horses carrying a coach at a show in the Transport Industries Skills Centre on Sutton Road on Sunday.
The man was trying to calm the horses after they became spooked.
He was knocked to the ground and did not recover from his injuries, dying at The Canberra Hospital.
Show organiser Barrie Cole, who is the president of the Canberra City Lions Club, said emotions were still ''very raw'' for everyone involved.
''We're all pretty sad I can tell you,'' Mr Cole said.
''It's a bit raw actually at this point, we feel for the family.''
He described the death as a freak accident and said the owners of the horse and carriage, understood to be the from the NSW south coast, were ''shattered''.
The 65-year-old was not employed or connected with the horse and carriage company in any way.
