Fire fighters freed a woman from her vehicle this morning using the jaws of life following an accident in Canberra’s south.

The woman was trapped for a short time after the single vehicle collision on Sulwood Drive in Kambah before 8am.

She was treated by Intensive Care Paramedics for a head injury and taken to Canberra Hospital in a stable condition.

An ACT Policing spokeswoman said the road was not closed.
