The Flux Party – ACT and Canberra Community Voters will join nine political parties already registered and approved to contest the October election.

The Animal Justice Party also intends to run; its objection period closes July 6.

"The deadline for applying for registration passed at midnight June 30, 2016," the ACT's electoral commissioner, Phillip Green, said.

"Parties wishing to register for ACT elections must submit a list of at least 100 members who are ACT electors and a copy of the party's constitution to the electoral commissioner.

"Members of the public are entitled to object to an application for party registration if they consider that the party is not eligible to be registered."

The Flux Party – ACT also ran Senate candidates in the federal election.

The party has an unusual internal voting system. If a Flux Party senator is elected, the party's members will have the opportunity to vote in an online poll on each bill before the upper house.

If they are uninterested in the issue they can trade their votes with other members to give themselves an extra vote for the things they are concerned about.

The Canberra Community Voters party is convened by lobbyist Richard Farmer and the treasurer is former NSW Auditor-General Tony Harris.

The party says it will campaign against the casino installing 200 poker machines.

It's platform says it would work to "introduce a truly transparent and evidence-based system of government in the ACT, including putting an end to secret dealings in government and particularly in land development".

Anyone wishing to object to the registration of The Flux Party – ACT can lodge a written objection with the Electoral Commissioner by July 14.

The objection period for Canberra Community Voters will begin early next week and close after 14 days, the ACT electoral commission said.

A copy of the applications and the constitutions of each party are available for public inspection at the office of the Commissioner between 9am and 5pm on business days.

"A party registration application for the Animal Justice Party has also recently been lodged with the Electoral Commission and is currently within the period for public objection, " Mr Green said.

The objection period for the Animal Justice Party closes on July 6.
