The Federal Government has signed a $15 million agreement with Ochre Health for "hub and spoke" clinic that will operate from an existing site in Tuggeranong as well as centres in Belconnen and Gungahlin.
Canberra MP Gai Brodtmann said the clinics would employ general practitioners, nurses, and allied health professionals in team-based environments.
"Services will be tailored to meet the identified health needs of each of these communities."
"The Australian Government wants to make it easier for all Australians to see a doctor and GP Super Clinics around the country are making this happen."
Fraser MP Andrew Leigh said the clinic would have an emphasis on education for medical, nursing and allied health students.
"We know that Canberrans rely on their local doctor, and encouraging more GPs is vital to improving health outcomes," he said.
