Two people have been taken to hospital following a series of crashes on Canberra’s roads on Wednesday morning.

Emergency crews were first called to Bonython, where a car had crashed into a tree at Kneebone Street and Kingscote Crescent shortly before 8.10am.
An ESA spokesman said one person suffered minor injuries as a result and was taken to the Canberra Hospital.
Emergency crews were also tasked to intersection of Benjamin and Belconnen Ways in Belconnen at 8.20am after two cars collided.
The spokesman said crews had to use hydraulic tools to remove the door of one vehicle to free someone, while one female patient was assessed at the scene. One female patient was also taken to the Canberra Hospital for minor injuries.
The spokesman said ambulance weren’t tasked to a two car collision on Melrose Drive, near Corinna Street, in Phillip.
The crash called in shortly after 8.30am has blocked northbound traffic on Melrose Drive.
