Fours cars were flipped on their roofs in Canberra’s south overnight, in what police have described as “mindless acts of property damage”.

Officers were called to four separate incidents in Calwell, Monash and Gilmore.

Police spent the evening and much of this morning searching the suburbs for the offenders, but were unable to find any persons or vehicles of interest.

Two cars were flipped in Calwell, including a silver Nissan Pulsar at the Pitstop Carwash on Webber Crescent and a black Ford Ka on Andrew Crescent.

Meantime a white Toyota Corolla was flipped on Priddle Crescent in Monash, and a white Daewoo Lanos was upturned on Alonson Crescent in Gilmore.

Police have urged anyone who may have seen the vandalism or any suspicious activity taking place in the area to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website.
