The boys, aged between 10 and 14 years old, visited the opening day of Floriade briefly ahead of a dress rehearsal yesterday afternoon.
Choirmaster Manolo Cagnin said the tour, which began in Australia on September 3, had received a warm reception from the public.
''For every boy and including me - coming here to Australia is a dream,'' he said.
''It is so far away and it is magic here. The boys have been asking me if we can go surfing but that's not possible - it's dangerous.''
The 3pm concert will include the performance of a new Australian work by composer Elena Kats-Chernin based on the Australian poem My Country by Dorothea Mackellar. Tickets will be available at the door and range upwards from $69.
The new piece has been specially commissioned for the choir for this visit, which marks its first return to Australia since 2005. The choir was in good company yesterday, with the opening day of Floriade bringing sunny weather and a large turn out from Canberrans, who flocked in their thousands to walk among the tulips and take in live demonstrations.
Celebrity landscaper Jamie Durie held a presentation in one of the garden exhibits at 10am, attracting large crowds of people who queued to see him.
