The firefighters from the ACT RFS will spend five days in Tasmania, helping with operations at the Molesworth fire, north-west of Hobart.
The Remote Area Fire Team team will be working in rugged bushland and difficult terrain, alongside their Tasmanian colleagues.
The Molesworth fire was first reported on February 6 and has since burned through over 2,700 hectares.
The Canberra volunteers are being sent following an official request for assistance to the ACT RFS, from the Tasmania Fire Service.
They will fly out of Canberra Airport on Saturday morning.
