Police have identified the body discovered under a bridge over the Bega River on the far south coast earlier this week was that of 26-year-old Marnielee Maree Cave, of Bega.

Investigators from Far South Coast LAC have been working with detectives from the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad since the body was found at about 8.15am on Wednesday October 14 under the Mogareeka Bridge on the Tathra-Bermagui Road, Tathra.
The woman's death is being treated as suspicious.
Detective are appealing for anyone who may have seen her in the days before her body was found, or who has information which they believe could assist detectives, to contact Bega Police Station.
