A woman in her 30s has been taken to the Canberra Hospital in a serious but stable condition after crashing into a light pole at the Ginninderra and William Webb Drive intersection in McKellar Wednesday night.

Police have closed William Webb Drive between William Slim Drive and Ginninderra Drive.
An Emergency Services spokeswoman said the woman sustained head injuries in the crash, which happened about 6.19pm.
An ACT Policing spokesman said the car crashed into the pole, knocking it to the ground and disrupting traffic.
