A woman on bail for her part in a drive-by shooting at a south Canberra house last year is suspected of smuggling drugs into jail while visiting an inmate involved with the shooting, a court has heard.

Erin Maree Miller, 32, sat in court quietly crying before she was remanded in custody at the ACT Magistrates Court on Monday for breaching her bail.
Ms Miller, of Richardson, had been on bail for being an accessory after the fact to an act endangering life, concealing evidence and obstructing an investigation after the Gowrie shooting last February.
As part of the conditions Ms Miller was to have no contact with a number of people including Benjamin Hunt who had been inside the Gowrie home at the time of the shooting but had declined to give a statement to police, the prosecution told the court.
The prosecution said Ms Miller had been barred from contacting Mr Hunt as they were concerned she would use him to communicate with her co-accused Harley Stott who was also in jail over the shooting.
Ms Miller allegedly breached her bail when she visited Mr Hunt at the Alexander Maconochie Centre after telling guards she was visiting another inmate.
The court heard Ms Miller had been arrested on the weekend after visiting the jail a second time where she was seen on CCTV handing Mr Hunt a package containing two grams of methamphetamine.
The prosecution said Ms Miller was expected to be charged imminently with possessing a drug of dependence with intention to supply and lying to a prison official and had also attempted to smuggle a mobile phone into the prison.
The prosecution said the drug charges carried a maximum sentence of five years in jail and Ms Miller had already been charged with offences carrying maximum terms of five to seven years.
Ms Miller's defence lawyer argued for the alleged drug offences to be disregarded as her client was yet to be charged.
In applying for bail, she said Ms Miller suffered from multiple sclerosis and required an MRI and series of 15 injections which could not occur if she was detained.
"She will take any condition the court will put on her and comply," she said.
While not taking the pending charges into account, Magistrate Peter Morrison refused Ms Miller's bail on the basis of the earlier jail visit and lack of formal evidence backing her MS claims.
"Despite what she says about her willingness to comply she's demonstrated with her conduct that she's either unwilling or unable to," he said.
"Particularly there is no evidence the relevant [MS] treatment can't be done at the AMC.
"I've dealt with the application on the most favourable basis for the defendant, but I've found it's not appropriate to grant bail in any event."
The matter will return to court on July 7.
