Two cars crashed at the Kingsford Smith Drive and Bainton Crescent intersection at about 8.10am, closing the road, with police turning traffic around for over an hour.
ACT Fire and Rescue used hydraulic rescue tools to free the woman from her car and placed her on a spinal board as a precaution.
She was then taken to the Canberra hospital with lower back pain.
Intensive care paramedics also transported another patient from the other car to Calvary Hospital with minor injuries.
