Woman's death in Kingston 'suspicious', police say

Police vehicles remained at the scene of an apartment on the Kingston Foreshore on Friday night after the suspicious death of a 29-year-old woman in the early hours of the morning.

Paramedics called police to the apartment on Eastlake Parade about 1.50am on Friday morning, where ACT Policing say they found the woman dead.

A 31-year-old man, who police say also lives in the waterfront apartment, was assisting police with their investigations, but no charges had not been laid as of Friday night.

A police spokeswoman would not comment on the nature of relationship between the man and the deceased woman.

When asked if there was a disturbance, police would only say they were called by the ambulance service and that investigations are ongoing, including regarding who called the ambulance.

Police officers doorknocked neighbours on Thursday night.

ACT Policing's criminal investigation team examined the scene and forensics attended to prepare a report for the ACT Coroner.
