From Saturday, Corin Dam will again be open to the public after eight months of structural upgrades to the dam wall.
Corin Dam, Corin Road past Square Rock carpark and Stockyard Spur Walking Track are all accessible again after being closed during peak recreation season due to the works.
The spillway bridge is now a one-way lane, with a give-way sign at the turning point across the other side of the dam.
The dam was reduced to 50 per cent capacity while the wall was remediated, an Icon Water spokeswoman said in September last year.
The $1 million project included repairing the access road across the dam's crest.
Icon Water general manager of project delivery, operations and maintenance, Ray Hezkial said the dam's remote location and its role as an active water supply catchment made it a "complex" project.
"We welcome back the Canberra Community to Corin Dam and hope they continue to enjoy the site and its facilities," he said.
