BRENT Guerra has revealed he is taking the extreme measure of injecting blood into his injured hamstring in a bid to fast-track his recovery and make a miracle September return.
The veteran Hawk, who suffered the cruel blow of a soft tissue tear in his club's last home-and-away match, is hoping the treatment could yet see him play in a grand final, should Hawthorn go all the way.
''I'm doing everything possible: acupuncture, injections and physio,'' Guerra told Channel Ten's Before the Game last night.
Asked what he'd had injected into his hamstring Guerra said: ''I'm not too sure … I just lay on the table and I say, 'You do what you've got to do and I'll be quite happy to just lay there'.''
