Live AFL: Sunday 3 June

Edited by Teo Pellizzeri

Sunday Summary
- Brisbane defeated West Coast by two points in a thriller at the Gabba. Polkinghorne's goal with a minute to go wrestled Brisbane back in front as the Lions kicked eight final-quarter goals.
- Sydney defeated Western Bulldogs by 92 points at the SCG. A nine-goal first term from the Swans left the Bulldogs stunned and the game descended into a flat slog thereafter. Jetta's three goals included two contenders for goal of the week.
- Collingwood defeated Gold Coast by 97 points at the MCG. Scott Pendlebury left the game in the first quarter with a knee injury but did return after assessment before being subbed at half time. Gold Coast kept it interesting in the first quarter but by the final term Gary Ablett's 53-possession game was the sideshow worth following rather than the non-contest on the scoreboard.

  • Those poor smeagles, without the 15 goals from umps in perth they are a avg side. That is the most bias ground in the world, without any doubt. In the nfl or pl if umps did what the smeagles get at home then the umps would be sacked or in court for corruption. They do still do fine though because umps over here beleive the media, so whoever the media are playing favs with the umps react accordingly. It is a total farce.

    No perth no smeagles

          • Why doesn't Lloyd write an article about the Academy of Diving and Staging that he has established at Essendon?
