Richmond has secured Adelaide midfielder Chris Knights.
In a busy opening morning of free agency, the Tigers confirmed Knights will head to Punt Rd.
He is an unrestricted free agent, meaning even if the Crows had matched the Tigers' offer, he would still have left.
Knights, 26, played 96 matches with the Crows but only five this season.
''We're delighted to have gained Chris' services, as we believe he'll be a valuable acquisition for our group," Richmond football manager Craig Cameron said in a statement.
''Chris has the all-round talent, versatility, and experience to really help us, and we feel that he'll thrive with the opportunities at Tigerland.''
He was the No.56 pick in the 2004 national draft.
The Tigers will now turn their attention to securing Port Adelaide defender Troy Chaplin. He is a restricted free agent.
