COLLINGWOOD wants to have a 24-hour Collingwood-devoted football channel operating within the next five years.
In revealing the club's monstrous profit, Collingwood chief executive Gary Pert said the club planned to put more resources into providing more its own media "content" for fans.
The club would invest in studios, cameras and other media "facilities" as it sought to create that new "content, specific for members and supporters."
Collingwood features on a Foxtel show, "the Club," which lasts for half an hour each week on the football-devoted channel and focuses on people and players behind the scenes. Pert said the club "eventually" wanted to upscale to a 24-hour channel that was devoted to the club.
"I'd like to think within the next five years," said Pert, when asked how long this would take to come to fruition.
"The Club" is among Fox Footy's better rating programs, attracting an average of about 80,000 viewers each week.
