Danny Frawley will this week end his self-imposed sabbatical from the media, when he will reveal details of the health issues that followed his departure from the top job at the AFL Coaches Association.

Frawley has scheduled interviews with Triple M and Fox Footy's The Bounce on Wednesday in a move that it is hoped will foreshadow a full-time return to work this weekend to the radio and TV commitments he stepped away from in May.

Frawley has also taken a step away from his work on the St Kilda Football Club Foundation but will gradually return to a role helping his old club. Saints skipper Nick Riewoldt will equal Frawley's games captaincy record against Fremantle this Saturday.

Frawley said he preferred not to comment on his personal struggle when contacted on Monday by The Age. His manager Craig Kelly said Frawley had appreciated the support he had received and in particular from his employers at Triple M, where he works as a special commentator, and Fox Footy.
