Demons ready to erase memory of last season's cat attack

Melbourne's last trip to Geelong resulted in a 186-point walloping and the sacking of then-coach Dean Bailey, and Demon Jordie McKenzie says he has done his best to consign that result to the history books. As Melbourne gets set to head to Simonds Stadium, McKenzie said: ''The overriding feel was how embarrassing it was to be involved in such a humiliating defeat. There's no point dwelling on it too much, because we can't change it, but it was a day that you try and forget.'' The Demons are winless in 2012, but McKenzie is confident his team will put in a much stronger showing on Saturday.
