ESSENDON veteran Nathan Lovett-Murray, 30, has been given a one-year contract extension and will line up for his 10th season.
His manager, Peter Jess, said Lovett-Murray offered more than just football smarts. ''The footy club have given him another 12 months and supported his indigenous mentoring program … mentoring young indigenous footballers in the community, regarding lifestyle and employment and a range of life outcomes, and ensures they can get the best for themselves.''
Lovett-Murray played 17 matches last season, for a tally of 142. David Hille and Alwyn Davey have also signed one-year deals.
