Essendon ruckman David Hille has signed a one-year contract extension.
Hille has delayed retirement, and remained with the Bombers despite several other clubs seeking senior ruck talent.
Hille will act as support to Paddy Ryder and the much improved Tom Bellchambers next season.
In other trade news, GWS is sending young South Australian defender Jack Hombsch and Jake Neade (an NT zone player) to Port Adelaide for pick 29.
Earlier today, Essendon announced that small forward Alwyn Davey, 28, had also agreed to terms for one more season.
Hille has played 193 games for the Bombers since his debut in 2001. Injury kept him to five games in 2009, and the emergence of Bellchambers saw him play only nine times in 2012.
